The STEAM on the Go! Program is designed for kids, teens and families to explore a variety of STEAM Subjects. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.
Each kit will allow you to dig deep into science and art concepts and complete hands-on experiments and projects. Kits are requestable from the Anaheim Public Library’s catalog or by calling your neighborhood Anaheim Library!
To participate, you will need to have access to a computer, tablet, smartphone, and your Anaheim Public Library Card!
Follow the steps below to get started:
Download the READsquared App from the Apple App store
or Google Play Store.
Register for the program labeled "STEAM on the Go!"
If you've registered for the Summer Reading or Winter Reading Program in the past, you will need to make
a new username just for the STEAM on the Go! Program.
Create a username with “STEAM” or “STEM”
before you enter your first name and last name. Example: "STEAMBitz-n-Pieces"
Place a hold to borrow any STEAM on the Go Kit from your neighborhood Anaheim Library.
Complete the kit's activities, which include a Reflection Log in your Field Journal.
Record your progress on the READsquared App and upload a photo of your completed Reflection Log for the adventure.
Return the old kit and borrow a new Kit to start a new adventure!
Complete kits to earn badges! More badges means an opportunity to level up and unlock new content and prizes. Complete them all to reach the rank of STEAM Ambassador. To “level up” complete any three kits. Kits can be completed in any order.
